TV becomes more personal than ever with watchmi 2.0, including new features and content (download here, works in German-speaking countries only for now). By integrating online video content watchmi takes the first step from a "self-learning" digital recorder to an all-media, personal TV service. Existing installations of earlier watchmi versions will automatically ask you to update.

New features include:

• Full support of Windows 7 and 64-bit: The most frequently asked question  in the past months was: "When will watchmi be available on Windows 7 and 64-bit?" The answer is: Now--with watchmi 2.0. watchmi also runs faster on Windows 7 with 32-bit. Note: You should bring your operating system up-to-date using Windows Update before installing watchmi.
• Theme channels with online video content: Up to now your personal channels could only record your favorite episodes via your TV tuner. But watchmi is lots more: Soon you will be able to fill your channels with content from a wide array of sources (TV, Internet, Video on Demand, media libraries, etc.). It's not that far yet, but the "theme channels" which are being launched with watchmi 2.0 are a first step. You'll now find movie trailers and videos from selected content partners (such as BILD) next to your regular, linear TV channels and your personal channels. Zapping between live TV, your recordings and Internet content has never been so easy.
• Sponsored videos in your personal channels: Active watchmi users will find that sponsored videos are now included in your personal channels. The secret: Quality not quantity. These videos are tailored to your taste. You can rate them like any other video by using the "I like" / "I don't like" buttons. This introduces a whole new era of TV: You only see sponsored videos of your interest, tailored to your needs and you only watch what you want and when you want it. Most Important: Your privacy is safe with us. You channel profiles are not transmitted to our servers. watchmi decides locally, on your computer, what matches your taste. • Pre- and post-padding is now being supported (Windows 7 only): that is, recordings start and stop before and after scheduled times, as these can change at the last minute, and we don't want to miss any of your favorite content.
