Most modern EPGs have "wishlist" functions that are based on static filtering rules. By contrast, watchmi uses Bayesian adaptive algorithms, which are also used in intelligent email filter systems. These algorithms allow watchmi to keep learning about the viewer's preferences, and modify recommendations accordingly, whereas a wishlist based on static rules is only as good as the rules specify.
