As a plug-in, watchmi relies on the TV functionality of the Windows Media Center. That means it can generally handle any TV signal that the Media Center can handle with a compatible TV tuner.

Natively, in Europe the following standards are supported:

Windows Vista: DVB-T (digital terrestrial), analog cable

Windows7: DVB-T (digital terrestrial), DVB-S (satellite), analog cable

For tuners or signal types that are not natively supported (e.g. digital cable DVB-C), there is the option to integrate with the software DVBLink TVSource.

Please note that watchmi has also integrated online video content in theme channels and can thus also be used without a TV tuner. To get full functionality, however, a tuner will be required.
